DUNYA NEWS, LAHORE (Online), 07th OCTOBER 2013:- Pakistan Cricket Board chief, Najam Sethi on Saturday advised players to consider themselves as champions.

Addressing a press conference at the launch of the logo of the Pakistan, South Africa cricket series, the PCB boss advised players not to underestimate themselves and consider they are champions to improve their confidence.

He said that they were making all the efforts to bring in international players for the Pakistan cricket league which would be beneficial for players and cricket.

Sethi emphasized the role of sponsors in making the PCB and the cricket system stronger.

Praising the sponsors for the Pakistan S.Africa series, he wished that more such sponsors would come forward for the support of Pakistan cricket as sponsors and media rights are the major source of income for the PCB.

He also said that he was aware that Pakistan’s reputation was at a low amongst international cricketers because of which they are unwilling to come here, but steps are being taken to change all that.

Sethi says Pakistan Premier League would be launched soon in Pakistan vowing international players would be participated in PPL.

PCB chief said cricket ties with India would be restored soon as he has full support from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Sethi said he is ready to change the captain if somebody gives better name to replace Misbaul Haq.
An important meeting is likely to be held Sunday between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Acting Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi at Raiwand.

During the meeting matters related to the board and other issues would be discussed.

Sources told Online that Najam Sethi would apprise PM of various affairs of the board and would discuss his limited powers due to matter being in court.
