Pakistan U-19 soccer team off to Iraq


THE NATION, LAHORE, 05th OCTOBER 2013:- Pakistan U-19 football team left for Iraq to take part in the 2014 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-19 Championship Qualifiers to be held at the Francouse Al-Hareeri Stadium in Arbil City in Iraq from October 8-12. Pakistan is placed in group C and will play against Kuwait on Oct 8, Iraq on Oct 10 and Bangladesh on Oct 12. Pakistan players are M Basit Amin, Sanaullah, Zainul Abdeen, Sher Ali, Mansoor Khan (capt), M Riaz, Ahsan Ullah, Abdul Waheed, Mohsin Ali, M Bilal, M Usman Khan, Malik Dilshad Ahmed, Munir (vc), M Zeeshan, M Bilal, Uzair, Hafiz M Hassan Faiz, Habibur Rehman, M Tahir and Syed Hassan Mujtaba. Syed Nasir Ismail is head coach, M Rashid manager/assistant coach and Nadeem Abdul Rehman goalkeeper coach while Sardar Naveed Haider Khan is chef-de-mission. –Staff Reporter
