Interim body empties LCCA kitty


THE NATION, LAHORE, 01st OCTOBER 2013:- Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) interim committee has emptied the body’s kitty by spending money on non-cricketing activities and the body is at the brisk of a financial disaster. “Before the appointment of the LCCA, Rs one million were in its account but now the account record shows only few thousands have been left,” the sources said. “The money is being spent on non-cricketing events by interim body head Aizad Hussain Syed who is less interested in cricket development while utilizing all energies on contesting LCCA chief elections.” They said during the three-year regime of ex-LCCA chief Kh Nadeem Ahmed, Rs 7-8 million were received from various sponsors and spent on cricket development especially on Lahore Premier League and U-19 league to revive cricket.” –APP
