PM leaves for US to attend 68th UNGA session


THE EXPRESS TRIBUNE, ISLAMABAD, 23rd SEPTEMBER 2013:- Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif left for New York, United States of America, on Sunday to attend the 68th United Nations General Assembly session.
“I am going to the General Assembly (Session) as a leader of a responsible democratic nation. We are a peaceful nation and want to enhance economic cooperation, trade and investment in Pakistan. I will share my vision of a progressive, democratic and developed Pakistan, which has the desire to live at peace with its neighbours”, said the PM on his departure for New York.
The Prime Minister further said, “I will be meeting world leaders and heads of states to improve economic, political and strategic relationships with them.”
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, and Special Assistant to the PM Tariq Fatemi accompanied the Prime Minister. Parvez Rasheed, Minister for Information, Broadcasting & National Heritage, and Dr Asif Kirmani, Political Secretary to PM, were present at Nur Khan Airbase to see off the Prime Minister.
